MEET OUR FOUNDER
Dr. Jonathan L. Vorce, Ph.D.
International Speaker, Chaplain Trainer, Lead Pastor, Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Author in Bayonet Point, Florida USA
Born in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Dr. Jonathan L. Vorce preached his first sermon at just eight years old and began full-time ministry by 1985. With over four decades of experience, he has traveled nationally and internationally as a preacher, teacher, author, and leadership trainer.
Dr. Vorce is the nephew of David and Judy Vorce, the founders of the International Fellowship of Chaplains. He had the privilege of serving on the Executive Board, as well as traveling and functioning as a Chaplain Trainer within this dynamic organization, prior to the retirement of his uncle and aunt. This familial connection provided him with the opportunity to observe chaplaincy work firsthand. Subsequently, upon succeeding Dr. Bill Morris as Chancellor of Covenant University, he was pleased to discover the institution's offerings in chaplaincy coursework. He draws upon these experiences as he trains individuals like YOU to become effective Community Chaplains.
Dr. Vorce has served as Lead Pastor for multiple congregations and, since 2010, has led Lakewood Family Church in Bayonet Point, Florida. His ministry extends into civic leadership, television, and education. He hosts two weekly programs—Kingdom Business Network TV and Church Life Today—and has authored fourteen books.
Academically, he holds multiple degrees including a PhD from Covenant University, Inc., where he now serves as Chancellor and President. Dr. Vorce is also a dedicated family man, married to Donna since 1990, with three children and six living grandchildren.

Do I need to attend in person?
No! The entire program is fully online. However, Covenant University students may have access to local campus options.
Will this help me get licensed or ordained?
Yes. This course gives you the opportunity to pursue licensing and ordination through Covenant Ministerial Association, Inc.
